He captains the Queen Anne’s Revenge and the ship is guarded by zombies. He is desperate to find the fountain of youth as he wants to prove his prophesied death wrong.
Syrena The beautiful alluring mermaid is played by Astrid Bergès-Frisbey. Unlike her deadly mermaid sisters, she doesn’t have revenge on her mind. However, she can’t stop thinking about the young missionary who she meets during her captivity on Blackbeard’s ship.
Philip Swift The only sane and honest one on this crew of thugs and thieves is the young missionary Sam Clafin. His goal is also the fountain of youth but is captured and taken prisoner by Blackbeard. Once he meets Syrena, the object of his desire dramatically shifts from eternal youth to eternal love.
